Giving E-Waste A Purpose
You probably have boxes of it somewhere in your house. Old phones, computers, cables. All that e-junk that you don’t trust to put on the curb, so you leave it to take up space. Well, approximately 53.6 million tons of electronics become e-waste every year. That’s 16 pounds for every single person on the planet. Meanwhile, just 17.4% of e-waste around the world gets recycled, so Dell decided to do something about it.
A Recycled Ad that helps you recycle E-Waste
Dell has one of the largest e-waste recycling programs in the world. The problem is, we’re all too lazy to actually get the label to ship it. So we made it simple.
A Picture Worthy QR Code
We transformed the simple QR code into a work of art that compels you to take a photo. Once you open up your camera, the link appears – driving you to download a shipping label and donate your own e-waste.
Made from E-Waste To Eliminate E-Waste
From monitors to mice and fans, we collected thousands of pounds of e-waste to turn into an epic installation, catching the attention of thousands of people at SXSW and inspiring a school teacher to start their own e-waste recycling program.
