Bringing The Buzz To The United States

What do you do when you launch one of the most highly anticipated EVs ever conceived? How about a road trip.

 
 

When the ID. Buzz launched in Europe, the entire world tuned in. Car guys, van lifers, and EV evangelists all wanted a taste. The problem was, the closet car was thousands of miles away. So we brought the Buzz to them, starting with a stop at the world’s most innovative conference.

 

1st Stop… SXSW @ The ID.Buzz Stop

 

Everything’s bigger in Texas, so we made a point to make a microbus-sized splash, by creating a fully sustainable experience using shipping containers at SXSW to feature our equally as sustainable, fully electric EV. Visitors were given an opportunity to see what the buzz was all about, giving them the opportunity to not just learn about the car, but meet some of the innovative minds behind crafting it.

 
 

Next Up… The New York Auto Show

We premiered the ID.Buzz at the New York Auto Show – one of the biggest automotive events in the country, giving journalists, influencers and everyday people a chance to check out our hottest new ride.

 
 

A Social Hunt For A Micro-sized Bus

NYC we let the bus do it’s first test drive, letting our newest icon meet NYCs newest icon: The Vessel.
While, social media supported us throughout the road trip, in NYC we turned it into a game, teasing out an opportunity for exclusive photo opps with the world’s most talked about – and hard to find – EV. Individuals who followed our social were given the keys to go find it and the opportunity to take an incredible photo.

 
 

Our next destination: Your Phone…

To keep the Buzz going about the Buzz. We created a variety of bespoke social campaigns tapping into all sorts of markets beyond the traditional ‘car guy.’ From sustainability fanatics to vanliferes, we gave them exclusive opportunities to spend time with our EV, so that you could live vicariously through them on social. You know… kind of like you normally do anyway.

In addition to social media posts, we created a variety of Buzz worthy content to keep our die-hard fans satiated on all fronts – from their love for sustainability and adventure to even a dance party in a micro bus.

We created a wholly unique .com experience for Volkswagen on their website, driving everyone to a form to stay in the loop, creating an ongoing campaign that fed buzz-worthy content into your inbox to keep you excited and (patiently) waiting for the ID.Buzz to officially launch in North America.
